Mar Y Montes Tour
The coast is calling.
Start your engine in Caleta de Vélez, where the Mediterranean stretches out endless and blue before you. The road hugs the coastline as you ride toward Nerja, salt air in your lungs, sunlight bouncing off the water beside you.
This is where the adventure truly begins.
Then the climb starts. Leave the coast behind and wind your way up into Frigiliana, one of Andalusia's most beautiful white villages, clinging to the mountainside like something out of a postcard. Narrow cobbled streets, flower-draped balconies, views that stretch all the way back to the sea you just left.
This is the heart of Mar y Montes, where coast and mountains become one story.
From there, the road turns wild again, cruising back toward Torrox, twisting mountain curves, dramatic drops, that pure rush of freedom only two wheels and open road can give you.
And finally, the last stretch home to Caleta de Vélez, sun low in the sky, the sea welcoming you back.

Roll out of Caleta de Vélez as the morning sun warms the coastline, but this time your Vespa points inland,toward the hills where Málaga's wine country begins. First, we cruise along Benamocarra, a quiet village wrapped in olive groves and orange trees, the pace of life slowing with every kilometer.
Then on to Almáchar, deep in the heart of the Axarquía's vineyards. Here the hillsides are terraced with vines heavy with grapes, the same ones that have made this region's sweet wines famous for centuries,
the soul of Sol y Cepas laid out before you in every direction.
Climb higher still into Moclinejo, where the views open up and the scent of sun-baked earth and grapevines fills the air.
This is Andalusia at its most authentic: whitewashed houses, warm hospitality, and a landscape shaped by generations of winemakers.

What is the average duration of a Vespa tour?
Most of our guided routes last between 3 to 4 hours. This includes stops for photos, refreshments, and exploring local white villages at a relaxed pace.
Do I need experience to ride a vespa on your tour?
Yes. Vespa Tours Málaga is not a driving school, we lead you along real mountain roads and coastal routes, not a training course. To join a tour, you must already be a confident, experienced rider comfortable handling a scooter or motorcycle in real traffic conditions, including curves, hills, and varying road surfaces. If you've never ridden before, we'd love to have you back once you've built up some experience, but for your safety and the safety of the group, we ask that all riders arrive tour-ready.
That's exactly why we offer the duo option: if you don't have riding experience, you can still join the adventure as a passenger with your partner or a friend behind the handlebars. That way, no one has to miss out on the freedom, the views, and the emotions of the tour.
Can you provide a driver for me if I want to ride duo but don't have a partner?
Unfortunately, no. For a duo booking, you need to bring your own rider to join you, we're not able to provide a driver or passenger to complete your pair.
Are the routes difficult to ride?
We select scenic roads with minimal traffic to ensure a comfortable experience. While some mountain roads have curves, we set a steady pace suitable for anyone comfortable with scooter handling.
Where is the meeting point for the tours?
Our main meeting point is Caleta de Velez, Calle Central 205. Detailed directions and a map link will be sent to you immediately upon booking confirmation.
Do I need a special license to drive a Vespa?
A standard driving license (B) held for at least 3 years, or a specific motorcycle license (A, A1 or A2), is required in Spain to drive our 125cc Vespas. Please bring your physical license to the tour.
What should I wear on the tour?
Closed shoes are mandatory by Spanish law — sandals, flip-flops, or open-toe shoes are not allowed on the Vespa. Recommendations are to wear gloves and protective gear for extra safety on the road. Finally, sunglasses are required for all riders: at speed, insects and debris can cause serious eye injuries, so eye protection isn't optional — it's essential for a safe and comfortable ride.
